Yes, it is indeed a baffled pipe of straight-through configuration. That strange-looking scalloped interior surface is the baffle! I, too am curious as to the sound you'll be getting from this muffler! I just ordered a "universal" muffler from Jireh Cycles, which is also baffled, with a tapered exit and a mounting bracket. It's chrome plated, 22" long and 2.5" in diameter, made by the Paughco Co. in Carson City, Nevada. Mine was $39.99 + shipping.
